Backend Engineer building reliable systems with Node.js & TypeScript

Hi, I'm Lakshay — a Backend Engineer who learns by building real systems, breaking them, and fixing them properly.
I work primarily with Node.js and TypeScript, building backend systems around authentication, payments, APIs, concurrency, and asynchronous workflows. My projects focus on understanding the engineering problems behind a system — from race conditions and idempotency and database architecture.
I also write technical case studies and build personal tools to explore ideas in practice. Currently, I'm deepening my understanding of Generative AI and how it can be applied to the systems I build.
My approach: understand the root cause, design before implementing, question tradeoffs, and document what I learn.
Engineering case studies — technical decisions, tradeoffs, mistakes, and debugging stories.
Full-stack transaction app with idempotency-aware mutex locking, TOCTOU concurrency debugging, interactive labs, and Auth Service integration.
Centralized resource platform with presigned MinIO uploads, webhook-driven documents, PostgreSQL + Drizzle, collections, and Auth Service integration.
Built a centralized authentication service powering IdeaHub, Resource Hub, and Vaultex — RS256 JWT, Google OAuth, secure cookies, and event-driven email delivery via AWS.
Centralized platform for capturing product ideas and thoughts, with soft delete and Auth Service integration.

Backend systems powering event registration platforms, authentication, payment workflows, and administrative tooling for real users.
At InternWare, I worked on authentication, payment workflows, coupon management, and admin tooling for production event-registration systems handling real users and transactions.
